About S.D.R.A
Although we have come along way, we cannot
forget where we came from. To a crowd of 6000 for the inaugural
Slamfest, we started on a closed street circuit in 5th Street,
Merbein
Sunraysia Drag Racing Association will turn 25 this year. From a group of dedicated members, the club worked tirelessly to get our now permanent home. From lamington drives to raffling drag cars, the effort paid off and work began on our strip in 1995.
We have now been at the Sunset Strip for 14
years, with improvements continually being carried out. Our newest
addition is our international standard safety barriers. With
assistance from government funding and an extremely huge effort from
Mildura Rural City Council, we now have the best safety barriers of
any regional drag racing facility
